What has been done to make this site usable, what is known to fall short, and how to tell me if something gets in your way.

How the site is built

The site is plain HTML and CSS with almost no JavaScript. Everything except the mobile menu, the FAQ sections and the enquiry form works with scripting disabled entirely.

  • One h1 per page and a heading structure that follows the content, so a screen reader's heading list is a usable table of contents.
  • FAQ sections use native details and summary elements, so they are keyboard operable and their answers are readable even before you open them.
  • Comparison and price tables are real tables with row and column headers marked up, so a screen reader announces which treatment a figure belongs to.
  • Every photograph has a text description. Clinical before and after photographs describe what changed, not just that a photograph is present.
  • A skip link to the main content, visible focus outlines throughout, and text that reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels wide.
  • Animation is limited to the mobile menu icon and is switched off entirely if your system is set to reduce motion.
  • No cookie banner, no pop-ups, no interstitials and no autoplaying media, because none of those things are used.

Known gaps

Being honest about this is more useful than a blanket claim of compliance.

  • The site has not yet been tested with screen reader software by a person who uses one daily. Automated checks are not a substitute for that.
  • Clinical before and after photographs are described in text, but a written description of an intraoral photograph can only go so far.

If you would rather not use the website at all, phoning is always an option, and I am happy to take an enquiry that way instead. Nothing on the site is the only route to booking.
